History
Early Vietnamese settlers began cultivating and developing the fertile lands of Ðồng Tháp in the 18th century, transforming wetlands into productive rice fields.
The French colonial administration officially annexed Ðồng Tháp, establishing administrative centers and introducing new agricultural techniques.
