The company Guideros s.r.o., registered at Rumunska 12, 120 00 Praha 2, Czech Republic, ID: 22815538, email: support@vitano.app (hereinafter "the Company"), ensures the protection of personal data in accordance with applicable legal regulations, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect the data of users of the travel planning website.

  1. Collection and use of personal data
    1. For registration and service provision, we use the following data:
      1. Email and password: This data is necessary for creating a user account and secure access to the service. The legal basis for processing is the necessity for the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
      2. Sharing trips and data between users: Sharing trips between users requires active sharing settings and the other party's consent to access trip data. This consent can be revoked by the user at any time.
      3. Marketing purposes: We may use your email address and notification settings to send marketing messages only with your explicit consent. Consent can be changed at any time in your user account or via the cookie banner.
  2. Data retention
    1. We retain your data for as long as you have an active account. If you request account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems, unless there are legal reasons for further retention.
  3. Cookies and advertising partners
    1. Our website uses cookies that provide basic functions such as login, as well as cookies for advertising purposes in cooperation with partners such as Google Ads. These cookies are managed via a cookie banner that allows users to adjust settings according to their preferences. For short-term login, cookies last 1 day; for long-term login, 14 days from the last visit.
  4. User rights
    1. Users have the right to:
      1. Right of access: You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you.
      2. Right to rectification: You can change your data at any time in the Account Settings section.
      3. Right to erasure: Your account can be deleted at any time upon your request. After deletion, all your data will be removed unless there is a legal obligation to retain it.
      4. Right to restriction and withdrawal of consent: You can withdraw your consent to data processing for marketing purposes or other optional features at any time.
      5. Right to data portability: We can provide your data in a common format upon request.
  5. How to delete your account and data
    1. To delete your Vitano account and all associated personal data:
      1. Email support@vitano.app from the e-mail address registered with your Vitano account, using the subject "Delete my account".
      2. We will confirm receipt within 48 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days, in accordance with GDPR Article 17.
      3. If you signed in with Facebook, you can also revoke Vitano's access in Settings → Apps and Websites on Facebook, and then e-mail us to delete the residual data.
      4. Data we are legally required to retain (e.g. tax invoices, kept under Czech accounting law for 5 years) will be anonymized rather than deleted.
  6. Data security
    1. We encrypt user password data using bcrypt and openssl_encrypt tools, and other sensitive data is protected using encryption methods. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.
  7. Data transfers outside the EU
    1. Your personal data may be transferred to partners outside the EU only if these partners ensure an adequate level of data protection through standard contractual clauses in accordance with the GDPR.
  8. Sharing data with third parties
    1. We do not share user data with third parties unless it is necessary for providing services on the website, for example through map partners (Google, Mapbox, MapTiler) and advertising partners. When using partner services, it is ensured that user data is not further shared without explicit consent.
  9. Notifications and offline access
    1. Push notifications may be enabled on your mobile device to alert you about planned trip points. You can configure this feature for each point individually. It is also possible to enable offline access to planned trips via browser cache.
    2. This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We recommend checking the current version regularly.
