Getting Started

What is Vitano?

Vitano is a web application for trip planning. It helps you create detailed itineraries with points of interest, restaurants, accommodations, and optimized routes. It uses artificial intelligence for personalized recommendations and lets you share plans with other travelers.

Is Vitano free?

Yes, the basic version is completely free. You can create up to 3 itineraries and use 5 AI assistant messages per day. For unlimited features, the Pro version is available at €4.99/month or €49.90/year.

Do I need to register?

For trip planning, yes. You can sign up via email, or quickly using your Google, Facebook, or Apple account. Browsing inspiration and country pages is available without registration.

Trip Planning

How do I create a new trip?

Click "Add Trip" in the main navigation. You can enter a destination manually, or describe your dream trip to the AI assistant, which will create an itinerary for you automatically.

How does AI planning work?

Describe where you want to go, for how long, and what you enjoy. The AI analyzes your preferences and creates a day-by-day itinerary with points of interest, restaurants, and an optimized route. You can freely modify everything.

Can I import reservations from email?

Yes, with the Pro version. Forward your flight, hotel, or car rental confirmations and Vitano will automatically recognize them and add them to the correct day in your itinerary.

What is route optimization?

The AI rearranges your stops so the route makes sense and you spend minimal time traveling. It considers opening hours, distances, and your preferences.

Sharing & Community

Can I share a trip with friends?

Yes. Send a link, email, or QR code. Set permissions — travel companions can view only, or also edit the itinerary in real time.

What is the Inspiration section?

Inspiration is a library of travel stories published by our community. Any user can publish their itinerary — once approved, it becomes a source of inspiration for other travelers. Personal data is automatically removed.

Do I get anything for publishing a trip?

Yes! For an approved trip, you earn +1 free itinerary in the Free version. If you add a quality travel diary with photos, you get +2 extra itineraries and bonus access to the travel interpreter.

Travel Diary

For each day of your trip, you can write a diary with photos and insights. When published, the diary becomes part of a travel story in the Inspiration section — helping other travelers plan similar trips.

Subscription & Payments

How can I upgrade to Pro?

Go to the Premium Travel page or click "Upgrade" in the app. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We support Visa, Mastercard, and other cards.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, at any time. Paid features remain available until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account automatically switches back to the Free version.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 14 days of purchase, you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with applicable law. Contact support@vitano.app.

Security & Privacy

Is my data safe?

Yes. Passwords are encrypted with bcrypt, all communication uses HTTPS, and we never store payment details — Stripe handles those. Servers are located in the EU (Hetzner, Germany).

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Contact us at support@vitano.app and your account along with all data will be deleted in compliance with GDPR. We retain billing records for 10 years as required by law.

How does Vitano use AI?

We use AI for itinerary generation, route optimization, translations, and reservation imports. We do not share personal identifying information (name, email) with AI providers. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.

What languages is Vitano available in?

Currently in 7 languages: Czech, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese. We are continuously adding more languages.

Does Vitano work offline?

Yes, with the Pro version. You can download your itinerary to your browser and use it without an internet connection. Ideal for places with poor signal.

Is there a mobile app?

Vitano is a web application optimized for mobile devices (PWA). You can add it to your phone's home screen and use it like a regular app.
