Getting Started

What is Vitano?

  • Vitano is a web app for trip planning. It helps you build detailed itineraries with points of interest, restaurants, accommodation and optimized routes. It uses artificial intelligence for personalized recommendations and lets you share plans with fellow travelers.

Is Vitano free?

  • Yes! Manual trip planning is completely free with no limits — create as many itineraries as you like. AI features (chat assistant, route optimization, interpreter, accommodation and flight search) are unlocked with a one-time payment per trip. The price is EUR 0.39 per day, capped at EUR 3.49. Your first AI trip is free.

Do I need to register?

  • Yes, to plan trips. You can sign up with your email or quickly via Google, Facebook or Apple. Browsing Inspiration and country pages is available without an account.

Trip Planning

How do I create a new trip?

  • Click "Add Trip" in the main navigation. Enter your destination, dates and number of days. Add points of interest manually from search, or describe your dream trip to the AI assistant and it will build the itinerary for you.

How does AI planning work?

  • Describe where you want to go, for how long and what you enjoy. The AI analyzes your preferences and creates a day-by-day itinerary with points of interest, restaurants and an optimized route. You can edit everything freely. AI planning requires unlocking AI features for that trip.

Can I import bookings from email?

  • Yes. Forward your flight, hotel or car rental confirmation to your travel email address and Vitano will automatically recognize it and place it in the right day of your itinerary. Email import is available to all users.

What is route optimization?

  • AI rearranges your stops so the route makes sense and you spend less time traveling. It considers opening hours, distances and your preferences. Route optimization requires unlocking AI features for that trip.

Sharing & Community

Can I share a trip with friends?

  • Yes. Send a link, email or QR code. Set permissions — travel companions can view only, or edit the itinerary together in real time.

What is the Inspiration section?

  • Inspiration is a library of travel stories published by our community. Any user can publish their itinerary — once approved, it becomes a source of inspiration for other travelers. Personal data is automatically removed.

Do I get rewards for publishing a trip?

  • Yes! You earn a reward for each approved published trip. Add a quality travel diary with photos and the reward is even bigger. Published trips help other travelers plan similar journeys.

Travel Diary

For each day of your trip you can write a diary with photos and observations. When you publish, the diary becomes part of the travel story in the Inspiration section — helping other travelers plan a similar trip.

Payments

How do I unlock AI features for a trip?

  • On the trip page, click "Unlock AI". The price is calculated by number of days: EUR 0.39 per day, capped at EUR 3.49 (for trips of 10+ days). Example: 3 days = EUR 1.17, 7 days = EUR 2.73. Payment is one-time via Stripe — no subscription, no auto-renewal.

Can I get a refund?

  • This is digital content with immediate delivery — at checkout you explicitly consent to waive the 14-day withdrawal right. However, if a technical issue prevented you from using the service, contact us at support@vitano.app within 14 days and we'll sort it out.

How does the referral program work?

  • Invite friends using your referral link. For each friend who registers within 14 days, you earn 1 free AI trip. You can earn up to 5 free trips this way.

Security & Privacy

Is my data safe?

  • Yes. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, all traffic runs over HTTPS and we never store payment details — Stripe handles that. Our servers are in the EU (Hetzner, Germany).

Can I delete my account?

  • Yes. Contact us at support@vitano.app and your account along with all data will be deleted in compliance with GDPR. We retain billing records for 10 years as required by law.

How does Vitano use AI?

  • We use AI to generate itineraries, optimize routes, translate, interpret and import bookings. We do not share personal identifiers (name, email) with AI providers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What languages is Vitano available in?

  • Currently 7 languages: Czech, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Japanese. We're adding more over time.

Does Vitano work offline?

  • Partially. You can save your itinerary to the browser and view it without an internet connection. Great for places with poor signal.

Is there a mobile app?

  • Vitano is a web app optimized for mobile devices (PWA). You can add it to your phone's home screen and use it just like a native app.
