History
Novi Pazar Old Bazaar traces its origins back to the 14th century beneath the medieval fortress of Stari Ras, where the original marketplace called Trgovište was established.
By the mid-15th century, under Ottoman rule, a new trading area called Novo Trgovište emerged east of the old one.
