Storia
The Labuan Marine Museum was officially opened on 26 January 2003 by Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Kadir bin Sheikh Fadzir, then Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
The concept for the museum originated in the 1990s, with construction taking place between August 2001 and July 2002 after the Labuan Corporation provided space within the International Sea Sports Complex.
Since its opening, the museum has served as Malaysia's first marine-themed museum dedicated to educating visitors about the rich marine biodiversity of Borneo and Labuan waters.
