Merkinė Observation Tower, locally known as Merkinės apžvalgos bokštas "Pušų gojelis", is a 26-meter high landscape observation tower situated on the right bank of the Nemunas River in Merkinė, Lithuania. From its platform, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Nemunas Landscape Reserve, the confluence of the Nemunas and Merkys rivers, Pastraujo Island, and the Merkinė Bridge. To the northeast, parts of the Merkinė Old Town, the Merkinė Hillfort, and the Merkinė Pyramid are visible, offering a rich blend of natural beauty and historical landmarks. The tower was designed by architect Arvydas Gudelis and constructed between 2013 and 2014 by AB "Montuotojas MF Alytuje" as part of the "Protected Areas Management" project funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Lithuanian government. Opened to the public in February 2015, it serves as a popular tourist attraction for nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike, combining modern architecture with the region's cultural heritage.

History
The Merkinė Observation Tower project was initiated under the European Regional Development Fund and the Lithuanian government's "Protected Areas Management" program.
The design contract was signed in November 2011 with UAB "Rekreacinė statyba", and construction commenced after a contract with AB "Montuotojas MF Alytuje" was signed in December 2013.
The tower was completed in October 2014 and officially opened to visitors on February 13, 2015.
Since then, it has become an important vantage point highlighting the natural and historical landscape of the Nemunas River region.
