History
Phaeno Science Center was inaugurated on November 24, 2005, after more than four years of construction.
The project was initiated by the city of Wolfsburg and realized in partnership with the architectural firm Mayer Bährle alongside Zaha Hadid.
The center was established to provide an engaging platform for science education and public interaction with natural phenomena.
Since its opening, it has become an important cultural and educational institution in Lower Saxony, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
