Northern Taiwan Region
Yangmingshan National Park, spanning parts of Taipei and New Taipei City, is one of Taiwan's nine national parks. It features diverse landscapes including ridges, valleys, lakes, waterfalls, and basins, with elevations ranging from 200 to 1,120 meters. Yangmingshan is celebrated for its cherry blossoms and hot springs, attracting nature lovers and hikers. In 2020, it became the world's first Urban Quiet Park, recognized for its tranquil environment. The park's volcanic geology and cultural significance make it a unique natural and recreational destination near Taipei.

The park's origins trace back to Daiton National Park, established in 1937 under Japanese rule as Taiwan's first national park.
Planning for Yangmingshan National Park began in 1962, encompassing volcanic groups and scenic mountains.
