History
Taming Sari Tower was officially opened to the public on 18 April 2008 and inaugurated by Malacca's Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam on 17 May 2008.
It was initially located near the Melaka River by the Stadthuys but was later relocated to its current site to protect archaeological remnants of the Melaka Sultanate era.
The tower's design is based on the legendary keris Taming Sari, symbolizing Malay heritage and culture.
Built with Swiss engineering expertise, it became Malaysia's first gyro tower, marking a significant milestone in the country's tourism infrastructure.
