Histoire

1929

Originally designed as the Yaarab Shrine Temple for a Shriners organization, the Fox Theatre was repurposed as a movie palace due to budget constraints and opened on December 25, 1929.

1932

Shortly after opening, the Great Depression affected its financial stability, leading to a foreclosure in 1932.

The complex was then purchased by Paramount Pictures and a local company.

1946

Throughout its history, the Fox has hosted significant premieres such as Walt Disney's "Song of the South" in 1946.

Despite economic challenges, the theater survived and evolved into a premier cultural venue, preserving its original architectural grandeur while adapting to modern performing arts needs.
