Spa Trenčianske Teplice is a renowned health resort located in western Slovakia, nestled in the valley of the Teplička river at the foothills of the Strážovské vrchy mountains. Known for its thermal springs, the spa has been a destination for healing treatments since the 14th century, praised for its mineral-rich waters rising from depths of around 1200 meters. The spa complex includes the unique Hammam bath built in 1888 in an Oriental Moorish style, a rare architectural gem attracting visitors beyond its therapeutic offerings. The town is also culturally significant, hosting Slovakia's longest-running international film festival, Art Film Fest, which started in 1993. Surrounded by a Romantic English park with exotic flora, Trenčianske Teplice combines natural beauty, historical architecture, and modern balneotherapy. The spa treatments focus on diseases of the locomotive organs and nervous system, blending traditional methods with modern medical approaches. Additionally, the town features architectural highlights from the functionalist period, including the Machnáč treatment house and a historic electric railway connecting the town to nearby Trenčianska Teplá. The spa is open year-round, making it an all-season destination for health and culture.
