2002

The Southern Ridges project was initiated by Singapore's Urban Redevelopment Authority in 2002 to connect existing parks along the southern ridge of the city-state.

2004

Completed in 2004, the 10-kilometre trail system links Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, and Kent Ridge Park through a series of bridges and walkways.

2008

A key milestone was the construction of the Henderson Waves bridge in 2008, designed by a London-based consortium and Singaporean architects, becoming Singapore's highest pedestrian bridge.

The development transformed fragmented green spaces into an integrated ecological and recreational corridor, promoting urban biodiversity and outdoor activities.
