River Wonders, formerly known as River Safari, is a unique river-themed zoo and aquarium located in Mandai, Singapore. It is part of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, which also includes the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, and Bird Paradise. Covering 12 hectares, it is Asia's first park dedicated to freshwater ecosystems and features a variety of river habitats from around the world. Visitors can explore themed exhibits such as the Amazon River Quest boat ride, the Pavilion Capital Giant Panda Forest, and habitats replicating the Congo, Nile, Ganges, Mekong, Yangtze, and Mary Rivers. The park is home to over 11,000 animals representing 260 species, including rare freshwater species like the Indian gharial, Mekong giant catfish, and Chinese giant salamanders. History
The concept of River Wonders began in 2007, initially named River Safari, with construction announced in 2009 and completed by late 2011.
Originally budgeted at S$140 million, costs rose to S$160 million due to construction expenses.
The park opened its Giant Panda Forest in November 2012 and officially welcomed visitors in February 2014, quickly attracting over a million visitors.
In October 2021, the park was renamed River Wonders to better reflect its focus on river ecosystems within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

Pavilion Capital Giant Panda Forest2012
A 1500-square-metre climate-controlled habitat designed to simulate the natural environment of giant pandas. Home to the panda couple Kai Kai and Jia Jia, and red pandas. Visitors can observe daily bamboo preparation by the staff.
Amazon River Quest
A scenic boat ride showcasing South American river animals including collared peccaries, jaguars, capybaras, and various monkey species. It offers an immersive river safari experience.
Yangtze River Exhibit
Displays rare freshwater species such as false gharials, Chinese giant salamanders, Chinese high-fin banded sharks, and sturgeons, highlighting the biodiversity of the Yangtze River.
Mekong River Habitat
Features a troop of lion-tailed macaques and a large tank with giant freshwater fish like the Mekong giant catfish and giant freshwater stingrays. An aviary displays birds from rice paddy fields in Thailand.
