Histoire
The Boden Artillery Regiment was established on 10 September 1919, originating from the division of the Boden-Karlsborg Artillery Regiment.
Initially focused on fortress artillery, it evolved into a mobile artillery regiment, especially after incorporating parts of the disbanded Norrbotten Artillery Corps in 1951.
The regiment was unique in Sweden for operating the Bandkanon 1 self-propelled artillery vehicle in the 1960s.
During the 1970s, it merged with the Boden Defence District to form a defence district regiment.
The regiment underwent several reorganizations, including adopting the name Norrland Artillery Regiment in 1998 after amalgamation with the disbanded Norrland Artillery Regiment.
