1834

Jošanička Banja's thermal waters have been known since Roman times, with early scientific examinations recorded in 1834 at the Vienna Medical University.

In the late 1970s, hydrogeological research revealed new thermal springs with temperatures up to 48 °C.

1935

The spa bathhouse was constructed in 1935, incorporating an older 17th-century Turkish bath.

After World War II, the spa developed further but has yet to reach the status of a high-category health resort.

Historically, the area also hosted numerous watermills, with only one remaining operational today.
