2005

Construction of Aspire Tower began in April 2005 and was completed in November 2007 by Midmac and BESIX subsidiary Six Construct.

2006

It was built as the focal point and giant torch for the 15th Asian Games held in Doha in December 2006.

Initially known as Khalifa Sports Tower or Doha Olympic Tower, it became a landmark symbolizing Qatar’s growing presence in international sports and architecture.

2023

Over time, the tower has maintained its status as one of the tallest buildings in Doha until surpassed by Lusail Plaza Towers in 2023.
