History
Construction of the Tuanku Ja'afar Royal Gallery began on 2 May 2012 and was completed in 2013.
The gallery was officially opened on 4 December 2014 by Tuanku Najihah, the Tunku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.
It was established to honor Tuanku Ja'afar, who served as the 10th Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan and the 10th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
Tuanku Ja'afar was born in 1922 and had a distinguished career in public service and diplomacy before ascending the throne in 1967.
The gallery reflects his legacy and the unique democratic royal selection system practiced in Negeri Sembilan.
