The Malacca Sultanate Palace Museum is a modern reconstruction of the 15th-century palace of the Malacca Sultanate, located at the foot of St. Paul's Hill in Malacca City, Malaysia. Built using traditional Malay architecture techniques with hardwood and belian wood, the museum faithfully replicates the palace during Sultan Mansur Shah's reign (1456-1477), based on the Malay Annals. The three-story building contains eight chambers and three galleries that exhibit royal chambers, including the throne room, sleeping quarters, and the sultan's possessions. Over 1,350 artifacts such as weapons, clothing, regalia, paintings, and dioramas depict the culture and history of the Malay Sultanate era. The museum also highlights the customs and ceremonies of Malay royalty, offering visitors a vivid glimpse into the political and cultural life of the period. It serves as a cultural heritage site that honors Malacca's royal past and Malay civilization, making it a unique and educational destination for visitors interested in Southeast Asian history and architecture.
