Langkawi Legend Park was constructed over two years and officially opened on 27 April 1996.

The park was built by reclaiming part of the waterfront in Kuah, inspired by then Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

Its design was created by architect Tuan Syed Ahmad Ibrahim.

Since its opening, the park has become a key cultural and recreational site in Langkawi, preserving local myths through sculptures and landscaped gardens that celebrate the island’s heritage.
