Histoire
Bintan Lagoon Resort was developed in the mid-1990s as a joint venture between Singaporean, Indonesian, and Japanese contractors, with the golf courses opening in 1997.

In 2011, it became the first golf resort in Southeast Asia to earn LEED silver certification for its sustainable design and operations, including a private power plant and water treatment system.
