History
Forssa Museum began operations in 1924 in the premises of Forssa's communal school.
It later moved to the Viksberg dairy facilities until World War II, during which it was closed.
The museum reopened in 1945 in the upper floor of the New Theatre building.
In 1980, it relocated to its current home in the former cotton warehouse of the Finlayson-Forssa company, part of the historic spinning mill area.
Forssa Museum was formerly known as Lounais-Hämeen museo until 2006.
