The Syndicate Nature Trail, also known as the Visitor Centre Nature Trail, is a scenic hiking path located in the foothills of Morne Diablotin within Dominica's Morne Diablotin National Park. Established in 1993, this approximately 1-mile (1.6 km) loop trail offers visitors an immersive experience in a rich rainforest environment, situated on the 205-acre Syndicate Parrot Preserve. The trail is renowned for birdwatching opportunities, especially sightings of the endemic Sisserou Parrot, Dominica's national bird, and the Jaco Parrot. Other bird species commonly observed include the Bananaquit, Blue-headed Hummingbird, Broad-winged Hawk, and Plumbeous Warbler, among others. The trail was temporarily closed after Hurricane Maria in 2017 but was carefully restored and reopened in 2018, reflecting the dedication of Dominica's Forestry, Wildlife, and Parks Division along with local partners. Accessible via the Syndicate Visitor Centre or the Waitukubuli National Trail, it offers nature enthusiasts a unique glimpse into Dominica's diverse avian wildlife and lush forest landscapes.
