History
Morne Diablotin National Park was officially established in January 2000 under Dominica's National Parks Act of 1975.
The park combines land from the former Northern Forest Reserve, the Syndicate Parrot Preserve, and other forested areas to protect the habitat of endangered endemic parrots.
Historically, before European colonization, the area provided resources for indigenous peoples.
