Histoire
Construction of Gran Torre Costanera began in June 2006 but was halted in January 2009 due to the Great Recession.
Work resumed in December 2009 and the tower reached its full height of 300 meters in February 2012, making it the tallest building in Latin America.
The tower was completed in 2013.
The observation deck, Sky Costanera, opened on August 11, 2015, becoming the highest viewpoint in South America.
The building was designed by Chilean architects Alemparte Barreda & Asociados, Argentine architect César Pelli, and Canadian firm Watt International.
