Histoire

1999

Conceived in 1999 by Dietrich Mateschitz to house the growing Flying Bulls collection, Hangar-7's construction began in 2001 near Salzburg Airport.

2003

Designed by Volkmar Burgstaller and engineered by Waagner-Biro, the steel-and-glass ellipsoid was completed and officially opened in August 2003.

Since then, it has evolved into a cultural landmark, hosting aviation exhibits, Formula One cars, and culinary events.

A nearby Hangar-8 was built for maintenance and restoration, not accessible to the public.

Over the years, Hangar-7 has become a symbol of innovation and a meeting point for arts, technology, and gastronomy.
