Histoire
Minimundus was founded in 1958 when Peter Zojer acquired the existing miniature park "Minieurop," which initially had 20 models.
The park was renamed "Minimundus" with financial support from Basil Gardner MacTaggart and opened in 1959 with a 15,000 square meter area.
Over the decades, the park expanded to 26,000 square meters, added a workshop for model construction, and renewed parts of the park.
In 2008, it was transferred to the association "Rettet das Kind – Kärnten," where founder Peter Zojer served as regional chairman.
Since 2015/16, Minimundus has been open year-round, including a large indoor exhibition area.
In 2022, a giant Ferris wheel was added, enhancing the visitor experience.
