Histoire

1936

Villa Traful was founded in 1936 by Exequiel Bustillo, then president of the Argentine National Park Administration, through a decree that authorized its initial land division.

The settlement was established as part of the development of Nahuel Huapi National Park.

1969

On May 30, 1969, the Commission of Fomento of Villa Traful was created to govern the local community, with Esteban Alejandro Gresznaryk as its first leader.

Over the decades, the village has maintained its traditional architecture and has grown modestly, preserving its natural surroundings within the national park context.
