Histoire
The House of Cultures was conceived as part of an initiative announced in 2008 to build a new cultural and fine arts museum complex in Resistencia, Chaco.
Construction began shortly after, with a planned inauguration to coincide with Argentina's Bicentennial in 2010.
Despite some delays, the building was officially opened in December 2010, with the first major event being the national premiere of "Coral Terrestre," a multidisciplinary performance involving music and ballet.
The project was funded through a combination of provincial resources and federal solidarity funds.
Since its opening, the complex has expanded its cultural offerings and infrastructural capacities, including the addition of television and radio studios on the top floor in subsequent years.
