2002

Conceived in the early 2000s by Patrick MacMahon of Melchers Project Management, the Singapore Flyer was planned starting in 2002 and officially announced in 2003 with support from the Singapore Tourism Board.

2006

The wheel's spindle was installed in December 2006, and capsules were added by October 2007.

2008
