History
The Bryn family purchased a farmstead on the northern tip of Sør-Hidle island in 1965.
Aasmund Bryn, seeking better health, began planting pine trees to shield the property from fjord winds, gradually developing the garden.
In 1995, his son Olav Bryn opened the gardens and restaurant to the public, transforming the family retreat into a popular tourist destination.
Since then, the garden has grown and evolved annually under Olav's care, expanding its collection of exotic plants and hosting notable events and visitors.
