The original shop was established in Louisville between Main and Market Streets, where in 1884 J.

"Bud" Hillerich crafted a bat for player Pete Browning, sparking the brand's legendary status.
The factory moved to South Preston and Finzer Streets in 1901 and remained there until 1974, after which production relocated to Jeffersonville, Indiana.
In the 1990s, efforts led by CEO John A.
