History
Bø Sommarland opened on Midsummer's Eve in 1985 under the name Telemark Sommarland, establishing itself as Norway's first and only outdoor water park.
Initially, the park experienced several changes in leadership during its early years, stabilizing under Olav Forberg's management from 1991 to 1998.
Over time, the park expanded its attractions, adding major rides such as Flowrider in 1994 and Jettegryta in 2006.
Ownership transitioned to the Spanish Parques Reunidos group, which also owns other parks including Tusenfryd.
