History
The Crystal Mosque was built between 2006 and 2008 and officially inaugurated on 8 February 2008 by Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
It was developed as part of the Islamic Heritage Park to showcase Islamic architecture and culture.
In 2018, the mosque temporarily closed for restoration due to weather and age-related wear, with initial repairs focusing on structural steel and glass components.
