The Millennium Cross stands prominently on Vodno Mountain above Skopje, North Macedonia's capital. Constructed in 2002, this 66-meter tall cross commemorates two millennia of Christianity in the region and honors St. Paul's evangelization activities. Its design resembles a traditional Christian cross, supported by a twelve-column platform symbolizing the twelve apostles. The structure features an elevator inside, allowing visitors to reach the top for breathtaking panoramic views of Skopje and its surroundings. By night, the cross illuminates the cityscape with thousands of lights, making it a striking landmark visible from nearly every part of the capital. The monument has become a symbol of Skopje and a major tourist attraction. Adjacent to the cross, a restaurant and souvenir shop offer amenities for visitors. Additionally, the Millennium Cross Cable Car, opened in 2011, provides a scenic 1,750-meter ride from the base of Vodno Mountain to the monument, enhancing accessibility and the visitor experience.
