歴史
The origins of inatura trace back to a private natural history museum founded by Siegfried Fussenegger in 1934, which later became the Vorarlberger Naturschau under city and state ownership.
The museum was relocated and modernized in 2003 on the site of the former Rüsch-Werke factory, originally established in 1827 by Josef Ignaz Rüsch as a turbine and hydropower machine plant.
The factory ceased operations in 1984, and the city of Dornbirn, together with the state of Vorarlberg, repurposed the site for the museum.
