History

Originally privately owned and developed by Dr.

Anthony Sabga, founder of the Ansa McAl conglomerate, Pigeon Point Heritage Park was transformed into a premier beach destination with modern facilities.

2005

In 2005, after public controversy over access fees, the Tobago House of Assembly acquired the property through a government purchase to maintain its status as a public heritage site.

The management practices and amenities established by the previous owner have been preserved by the THA to ensure continued quality and accessibility.

This transition marked a significant milestone in balancing private development with public access to Tobago's natural treasures.
