Historia

2002

The centre was inaugurated on 14 September 2002 by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah as the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre, coinciding with the Ampa Fairley Rationalisation Project inauguration.

2014

Over the years, it hosted significant events such as the Asia Pacific Network of Science and Technology Centres conference in 2014 and its first science festival in 2018.

2018

Between July 2018 and May 2020, the centre underwent extensive renovations and was rebranded as Seria Energy Lab to better reflect its mission aligned with the Wawasan Brunei 2035 national vision.

2021

It was officially reopened by Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah in April 2021, marking a new chapter in its educational and cultural role.
