The Ashgabat Olympic Complex, also known as the Saparmurat Turkmenbashy Olympic Stadium, is a modern multi-purpose stadium located in the Kopetdag District of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Originally built in 2003 with a capacity of 30,000, it was reconstructed and expanded to seat 45,000 spectators, reopening in 2017. The stadium is renowned for its striking exterior featuring a giant sculpture of the Akhal-Teke horse, symbolizing Turkmenistan's equestrian heritage; this sculpture is recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest horse figure worldwide. The original stadium was constructed in 2003 and named after Saparmurat Niyazov.
