Waterway Point
North East
Waterway Point is a major suburban shopping mall located in the heart of Punggol New Town, Singapore, adjacent to the Punggol MRT/LRT station. Developed as part of the integrated Watertown waterfront residential and retail complex, it stands out as the first mall in Singapore to incorporate a town square and visitors’ centre, offering residents and visitors cultural exhibitions and community events that highlight Punggol's heritage. Officially opened in April 2016 after a soft launch in January, the mall features a unique layout divided into East and West Wings connected by a 24-hour walkway called The Boardwalk, which links the mall to Punggol Waterway Park and public transit. With over 370,000 square feet of retail space across four levels, Waterway Point offers a diverse tenant mix including dining, fashion, entertainment, education centres, banks, and clinics. It houses Singapore’s largest suburban basement cinema and various themed indoor and outdoor spaces for exhibitions and recreational activities. The mall also includes family-friendly amenities such as dry and wet playgrounds and a gender-segregated musalla for Muslim prayer. Its direct connectivity to public transport and proximity to the scenic waterway make it a convenient and attractive destination for both shopping and community engagement.
