Lake Petnja is an artificial freshwater lake located on the southern side of the Dilj mountain in the municipality of Sibinj, Brod-Posavina County, Croatia. Created in 1968 by constructing a dam, its original purpose was to irrigate rice fields in the Jelas field, a plan that ultimately did not succeed. The lake is fed by fifteen springs, with the main source being the Petnja stream originating from Vidovo Hill. Surrounding the lake are protected natural areas, including several small caves and the remarkable Pljuskara canyon, which features three waterfalls on the stream. With a depth of approximately 8 meters and home to over twenty fish species such as carp, grass carp, catfish, trout gudgeon, pike, zander, and chub, Lake Petnja is a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts year-round.
