Tilagor Eco Park, established in 2006, is the third eco-park of Bangladesh located in the Tilagor area of Sylhet district. Spanning 112 acres of reserve forest, the park features naturally grown hillocks and a stream flowing through them, creating a serene environment. It is rich in biodiversity, hosting a dense forest with a variety of trees including Artocarpus chaplasha, sal, garjan, champa, jarul, and many fruit trees such as mango, jackfruit, and coconut. The park also supports a wide range of wildlife including foxes, monkeys, jackals, rabbits, and various bird species like parakeets and doves. Adjacent to the eco-park are the Lakkhachora Tea Garden and Chevron Gas Field, adding to its unique landscape. History
Tilagor Eco Park was established in 2006 by the Sylhet Forest Department under the Ministry of Environment and Forests to protect the area's natural biodiversity.
It was developed within the Tilagor Reserve Forest on the eastern side of Sylhet district, transforming the area into a managed eco-park while preserving its natural hillocks and forest cover.
Since its inception, the park has become a significant site for conservation and eco-tourism in Bangladesh, promoting awareness of native flora and fauna.
