History
Fujairah Museum began in 1969 as a modest single-room exhibition showcasing coins, farming tools, pottery, and weapons.
In 1991, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi established the Department of Antiquities and Heritage to oversee the museum and its collection.
The official reopening of the expanded museum took place on 30 November 1991.
By 1998, the museum had expanded to include two large halls dedicated to antiquities and three halls devoted to heritage, significantly enhancing its exhibition capacity and scope.
