History
The Apače area is part of the ancient Pannonian Basin, with evidence of Roman-era settlements and trade routes passing through the region.
Medieval Apače is first mentioned in historical records as part of the feudal estates under the Hungarian and later Habsburg rule.

Apače becomes part of the newly formed Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes (later Yugoslavia) following World War I.
