History
Vransko is first mentioned in historical records in the 11th century as a feudal estate under the Counts of Celje.
The Parish Church of St. Michael, a local landmark, is founded, serving as a religious and community center for centuries.
After the extinction of the Counts of Celje, Vransko comes under the rule of the Habsburg Monarchy, influencing local governance and economy.
The abolition of feudalism in the region transforms local land ownership and agricultural practices.
Following World War I, Vransko becomes part of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (later Yugoslavia).
During World War II, the region experiences occupation and resistance, with local forests serving as hideouts for partisan fighters.
Slovenia declares independence from Yugoslavia; Vransko becomes part of the sovereign Republic of Slovenia.
Vransko is established as an independent municipality, gaining greater local administrative autonomy.
